Saturday CFB Props: The Chalk Board Goes to College

Every number here was pulled live from the sportsbooks on Saturday morning, September 19. Twenty-six props across eight games, one marquee in Jordan-Hare, and exactly zero figures we made up in a spreadsheet at 2 a.m. Informational only. Not betting advice.

Saturday CFB Props: The Chalk Board Goes to College

This is informational analysis of real, live prop lines. It is not betting advice. We describe what the market is charging and where the matchup argues with it. Where you take it from there is on you.

Every line, price, and book below came off the live feed this morning. If a number is in this column, a sportsbook was actually offering it when we pulled it. That is the whole promise of this brand, and it is a low bar that a shocking number of props columns still limbo under. We are not going to name a receiver on the wrong team, invent a total that no book posted, or hand you a "lock" that turns out to be a player who transferred in the spring. The trench thesis still rules the house: read the five up front before you fall in love with the guy holding the ball. Now let's go to campus, where the coffee is bad and the point spreads are worse.

Florida Gators @ Auburn Tigers — the one you cleared the afternoon for

Night game, Jordan-Hare, two SEC teams who both looked allergic to third downs in September. The books can't decide who the quarterback even is, which is why the passing props read like a shrug and the ground game is where the honest money hides.

Start with Jeremiah Cobb Anytime TD Yes (-105, draftkings). Auburn's home back is priced at essentially a coin flip to find the end zone, and I've never understood treating a goal-line back in a close game like it's a 50-50 proposition. If Auburn gets inside the ten even twice, this is the guy carrying it in.

The Gators counter with a quarterback who runs like the pocket personally offended him. Byrum Brown player_rush_yds Over 53.5 (-114, fanduel) is a bet on Auburn's front doing exactly what it's built to do, collapsing the pocket, and Brown doing exactly what dual-threat quarterbacks do when that happens, which is tuck it and go. A collapsing pocket is a rushing prop wearing a disguise.

For the plus-money crowd, Aaron Philo player_pass_tds Over 1.5 (100, fanduel) pays even for two scores in a game that should get to the red zone more than the offenses would like to admit. And Vernell Brown III player_receptions Over 5.5 (-140, fanduel) is your volume play, because if Florida falls behind, and Florida falling behind is not exactly a bold forecast, the checkdowns to Brown come in a flood.

Then the fade. Jadan Baugh player_rush_yds Under 105.5 (-114, fanduel) — a triple-digit bellcow number, on the road, against a physical Auburn front seven, in a game that projects tight. Books set that line high on reputation and hope you salute it. The trenches say the yards get earned in twos and threes, not in a clean 106.

North Carolina Tar Heels @ Clemson Tigers — Death Valley does what it does

Clemson at home is a specific kind of miserable to visit, and the props reflect a Tigers team that expects to control the thing. Gideon Davidson Anytime TD Yes (-130, draftkings) is the shortest sentence in this whole column: featured back, home favorite, goal line. The book agrees, which is why the juice is what it is.

The value lives on the other sideline. Jordan Shipp player_receptions Over 5.5 (130, fanduel) pays plus-money for six catches, and if UNC is throwing to keep pace, and they will be, Shipp is the guy the volume funnels to. Sprinkle in Tait Reynolds player_rush_yds Over 39.5 (-114, fanduel), because a dual-threat quarterback facing Clemson's pass rush is going to be running for his life, and some of those scrambles count as rushing yards on the box score whether he meant them or not.

Georgia Bulldogs @ Arkansas Razorbacks — the chalk wears red and black

This one has "Georgia pulls away in the third" written all over it, and the props are priced for a laugher. Nate Frazier player_rush_yds Over 76.5 (-114, fanduel) is the whole thesis in one line: Georgia gets ahead, Georgia leans on the lead back, Georgia chews the clock in Fayetteville while the crowd files out early. That's not a hot take, it's the box score writing itself in advance.

If you want the aerial version, Gunner Stockton player_pass_tds Over 2.5 (152, fanduel) pays plus-money for three scores against a Hogs secondary that may need directions to the football. And Chauncey Bowens Anytime TD Yes (-155, draftkings) is the change-of-pace back who still vultures goal-line work in a blowout, which is the most frustrating way to lose a fantasy matchup and the most reliable way to cash a touchdown prop.

Florida State Seminoles @ Alabama Crimson Tide — bring a jacket, Bama's cooking

Alabama at home against a Florida State team that's going to spend a long afternoon on defense. The workload props here are almost rude. Daniel Hill player_rush_yds Over 75.5 (-114, fanduel) is a bet that the game script tilts toward Tuscaloosa early and the Tide's back just piles it up in the second half while everyone watches the clock.

For the near-even-money believers, Ryan Williams Anytime TD Yes (-105, betmgm) puts the Tide's playmaker at basically a coin flip to reach the paint at home, which feels generous for a guy who is the reason opposing coordinators lose sleep. Round it out with Keelon Russell player_pass_tds Over 1.5 (-158, fanduel) — the Tide quarterback should cash two scores against an FSU defense that is going to be on the field roughly all day, and tired defenses give up touchdowns in the fourth quarter like it's a party favor.

LSU Tigers @ Ole Miss Rebels — Oxford at night, buckle up

High tempo, night game, two offenses that would rather score than punt. Trinidad Chambliss player_pass_tds Over 1.5 (104, fanduel) pays a hair over even for two scores, which in this environment feels like the book doing you a small favor and hoping you don't notice.

The explosives keep coming. Deuce Alexander Anytime TD Yes (125, draftkings) is a plus-money receiver score in a game built for exactly that, and Kewan Lacy player_rush_yds Over 80.5 (-114, fanduel) is the counter-script bet: if LSU jumps ahead and Ole Miss has to answer, the Rebels' lead back eats on the ground keeping the offense on schedule. Somebody's running back is going to have a big number in this one. Lacy is the priced-right way to guess who.

Kentucky Wildcats @ Texas A&M Aggies — Kyle Field, home chalk, short juice

The Aggies are favored, at home, and the props say the books expect a comfortable evening. Rueben Owens II Anytime TD Yes (-210, draftkings) is the featured-runner chalk, priced like a near-certainty, which is what -210 is trying to tell you. Pay for the confidence or fade the price, but don't pretend the market is confused here.

The passing side: Marcel Reed player_pass_tds Over 1.5 (-158, fanduel) backs the A&M quarterback to cash two scores against a Kentucky secondary that will be tested early and often. And if you like a little chaos, Jamarion Morrow Anytime TD Yes (-125, draftkings) takes Kentucky's lead back to steal a red-zone trip, because even in a loss somebody usually punches one in, and Morrow is the guy holding the ball when they do.

Kansas Jayhawks @ Arizona State Sun Devils — Tempe, and the QB legs

Arizona State at home, and the workhorse gets the nod. Kyson Brown Anytime TD Yes (-200, draftkings) is the Sun Devils' home chalk to reach the end zone, no cleverness required, just a featured back and a favorable script.

Kansas keeps it interesting through the quarterback. Isaiah Marshall player_rush_yds Over 42.5 (-114, fanduel) leans on a dual-threat Jayhawk asked to create with his legs on the road in Tempe, which is a polite way of saying he'll be improvising. And Omarion Miller player_receptions Over 5.5 (-108, fanduel) pays near even for six grabs from a high-volume target, the kind of role-over-name bet this brand was built on.

SMU Mustangs @ Louisville Cardinals — the shootout you'll forget to watch

This one has genuine track-meet potential and the props know it. Kevin Jennings player_pass_yds Over 287.5 (-114, fanduel) is a bet on SMU's air-it-out quarterback in a game that should force him to keep throwing, and that number clears itself if this becomes the shootout the pace suggests.

On the home side, Isaac Brown player_rush_yds Over 75.5 (-114, fanduel) backs Louisville's lead back to grind out a real number at home, the ground counter to all that SMU passing. And for the true degenerate poetry of it, Lincoln Kienholz Anytime TD Yes (-105, draftkings) puts the Cardinals quarterback at near-even to sneak one in himself, because quarterback rushing touchdowns are the props market's favorite way to break your heart at even money.

The house rules, one more time

Twenty-six props, eight games, every line pulled live and cross-checked twice before a word of this got written. The books moved these numbers to protect themselves; we're just reading them out loud and pointing at the spots where the matchup and the price disagree. Read the trenches, respect the chalk when it's earned, fade it when it's lazy, and never, ever trust a column that won't show you where its numbers came from.

This is informational analysis, not betting advice. Lines move. Confirm everything at your book before it matters, and if a starter is ruled out an hour before kickoff, the whole prop resets. Bet with your head, not over it.
