Gibbs has paid in every game he's finished healthy. Does Carolina stop that tonight?

16 plays across 9 games to give you the edge

Jahmyr Gibbs is sitting on 307 rushing yards through three games against a Panthers defense that's allowed the most rushing yards per game to any backfield in the league. Derrick Henry has six touchdowns in three games and gets a Tennessee defense allowing 126.3 yards a week on the ground. Garrett Wilson has drawn enough work to catch 21 balls already, and Chicago just watched its own number collapse from -8.5 to -3.5 favorites. Getting cute and fading all three of those is how you end up explaining to the group chat why you spent Sunday betting against the obvious stuff.

Every market number below was last confirmed Friday or Saturday. There wasn't a Sunday-morning recheck available before this published, and 1 PM inactives don't drop until late morning, so recheck your book and the final status report before you lock anything.

Buffalo Bills vs. New England Patriots

1:00 PM ET, CBS. Bills -6.5, total 48.5 (DraftKings).

Drake Maye (QB, NE): under 30.5 pass attempts

FanDuel -102 · last confirmed Fri

Maye has completed 63.7 percent of his throws for 585 yards across three games but has six interceptions against a single touchdown, and New England is averaging an NFL-worst 12 points a game. Buffalo's pass rush has been the bigger story than its takeaways, with Greg Rousseau alone putting up six sacks, 14 pressures and 12 quarterback hits through three weeks. A team that can't finish drives doesn't need 31 attempts to lose; it just needs its quarterback running for his life by the third quarter.

We believe a struggling offense facing that kind of pressure leans run before it leans on Maye's arm 31-plus times.

James Cook III (RB, BUF): over 88.5 rushing yards

DraftKings -111 · last confirmed Fri

Cook opened with 57 yards on 13 carries, then ran for 135 against Detroit and 154 against the Chargers, bringing him to 346 yards on just 58 attempts, the best yards-per-carry mark in the league at 6.0. DraftKings is also offering milestone props on him: 90-plus yards at -107, 100-plus at +139. New England ranks dead last in run-stuff rate and has allowed the league's second-highest rate of yards after contact per carry, and Cook specifically profiles as a problem for outside runs, where the Patriots have allowed a league-high number of missed tackles.

Even though 88.5 looks like it's chasing his recent average, we believe the matchup is bad enough that the number holds up fine.

Chicago Bears vs. New York Jets

1:00 PM ET, FOX. Bears -3.5 (opened -8.5), total 42.5 (DraftKings).

Garrett Wilson (WR, NYJ): over 6.5 receptions

FanDuel +101 · last confirmed Fri/Sat

Wilson has caught 6, 5 and 10 passes across three games, clearing this number once and landing exactly on the doorstep the other two times. His 21 catches have gone for 243 yards and two touchdowns, and the ten-catch game came against Detroit when the Jets had to keep throwing to stay in it. Chicago ranks 12th against the pass at 207 yards allowed a game, but Carolina already showed in Week 1 that this secondary can be pushed around through the air.

Seven catches at plus money works for us; six catches and a moral victory cashes exactly nothing.

Braelon Allen (RB, NYJ): over 56.5 rushing yards

FanDuel -114 · checked Sat

Breece Hall is out with a quad injury and has been labeled week-to-week, which hands the lead role to Allen with Isaiah Davis also sharing work. Chicago's spread has fallen five points since it opened, which usually means the market expects a closer, more competitive game, and a closer game keeps New York's run game relevant into the second half.

The job changed hands this week, and we'd rather bet the new workload than wait around for proof that never shows up before kickoff.

Philadelphia Eagles vs. Los Angeles Rams

1:00 PM ET, FOX. Rams -3, total 44.5 (consensus; some books post the total as high as 46).

Puka Nacua (WR, LAR): over 77.5 receiving yards

FanDuel -114 · checked Sat

Nacua is confirmed active with no injury designation after Sean McVay said his hip and groin trouble had cleared, ending a two-game absence. His only game this season was Week 1, when he caught five passes for 74 yards, nearly 15 yards a catch, and he averaged over 100 receiving yards a game last season before the groin and hip injuries shelved him for Weeks 2 and 3. Three and a half yards short of this number in his one game back is the kind of math that gets fixed with a sixth target, assuming two missed weeks haven't cost him any rhythm.

Puka Nacua (WR, LAR): over 76.5 receiving yards

DraftKings -112 · checked Sat

Same player, same case, one yard lower and two cents cheaper. DraftKings wants only two and a half more yards than his last outing instead of three and a half, which is the whole argument for shopping a line instead of locking in with whatever book happens to be open on your phone.

This is the version we'd take. Free yards aren't actually free if you don't bother looking for them.

Saquon Barkley (RB, PHI): over 69.5 rushing yards

Price not confirmed from a single named book this morning, consensus number · last confirmed Fri

Barkley's rushing log reads 83, 9 and 82 yards on 15, 4 and 15 carries. The nine-yard game came with a stinger that limited him to four total carries; in both of his full workloads, he cleared this number comfortably. The Rams haven't allowed a rusher to reach 100 yards in a game all season, which argues for caution on a huge over, but Aaron Donald is out with a back injury, and that's the best piece of their front off the field.

We believe the healthy-workload games tell us more about Barkley than the stinger game does. Use 69.5 as a baseline, not a reason to go chasing triple digits.

Baltimore Ravens vs. Tennessee Titans

1:00 PM ET, CBS. Ravens -11.5, total 42.5 (DraftKings).

Derrick Henry (RB, BAL): over 86.5 rushing yards

ScoresAndOdds consensus -137 · last confirmed Fri/Sat

Henry has run for 144, 68 and 89 yards, good for 301 yards on 66 carries and six touchdowns through three games, just over 100 yards a week on average. Tennessee ranks 24th against the run, allowing 126.3 yards a game and three rushing touchdowns already. Books aren't lined up on this one; some had it as low as 86.5, others had already pushed it toward 97.5 by Saturday, so shop before you bet it, because a ten-yard spread on the same player is the difference between an easy call and a coin flip.

Baltimore is laying 11.5 at home against a winless team. We believe Henry gets his work early and often.

Dallas Cowboys vs. Houston Texans

1:00 PM ET, FOX. Cowboys -2.5, total 47.5 (DraftKings).

CeeDee Lamb (WR, DAL): anytime touchdown

+115, DraftKings/FanDuel/Caesars · last confirmed Fri/Sat

Lamb has scored three touchdowns on 20 catches for 309 yards through three games, with his weekly total swinging from 44 to 153 to 112. Houston has allowed the third-most fantasy points per game to wide receivers this season, and the board has a 47.5 total attached to a 2.5-point Dallas favorite, which is the second-highest total on the early slate.

We believe plus money for Lamb to finish one of Dallas's drives in the end zone is a fair price in a game expected to have points.

Nico Collins (WR, HOU): over 71.5 receiving yards

Alt lines also posted at 72.5 yards (-114) and over 5.5 receptions (+102) · last confirmed Fri/Sat

Collins is back after missing Weeks 2 and 3. His only game this season produced 7 catches and 75 yards with a touchdown mixed in. That's three and a half yards over this number on a workload we have no reason to think shrinks now that he's healthy. The two-week layoff means we can't promise a snap count, so we're not pretending otherwise.

If Houston turns him loose without a target limit, we believe the role clears this number again. Recheck his practice status before kickoff; that's the actual variable here, not the matchup.

Green Bay Packers vs. Tampa Bay Buccaneers

1:00 PM ET, FOX. Packers -3, total 38.5 (DraftKings).

Christian Watson (WR, GB): anytime touchdown

+175, DraftKings · last confirmed Fri/Sat

Watson has gone for 147, 41 and 96 receiving yards. The 41-yard game against the Jets is the outlier, and it's explainable rather than mysterious: he drew a team-high 11 targets that day and still scored a touchdown, the catches just came up short on yardage. That's a usage number, not a benching. He's caught four of Jordan Love's six passing touchdowns and leads Green Bay with six red-zone targets, and DraftKings' own receiver parlay card has him projected at 60-plus receiving yards against a Tampa Bay defense ranked 11th against the pass. Baker Mayfield is out with a thumb injury, which hands Tampa Bay's offense to rookie Jalon Daniels for his first career start, a quarterback change that favors Green Bay's game script more than it changes Watson's price.

We believe the red-zone volume is live. Plus money on a guy getting four-plus catches a week is the kind of number that doesn't last once the market notices.

Late window

Minnesota Vikings vs. Miami Dolphins

4:05 PM ET, FOX. Vikings -11, total 38.5 (DraftKings).

Jordan Addison (WR, MIN): anytime touchdown

Fanatics -165 · last confirmed Fri/Sat

Addison went without a catch on two targets in Week 1, then put up 72 yards and a score against Philadelphia and 90 yards and another score against Tampa Bay on five catches and nine targets. Justin Jefferson is out with an ankle injury, leaving Addison as Minnesota's confirmed top receiver by both the depth chart and his own trend line.

Even though Miami has been a top-five defense against wide receivers this season, we believe Addison's new target share keeps the touchdown live. The role is good; the -165 price is the part that makes you swear at your phone.

T.J. Hockenson (TE, MIN): anytime touchdown

Fanatics +155 · last confirmed Fri/Sat

Jefferson's absence doesn't just feed Addison; it pushes more of Minnesota's scoring work toward the tight end too. We don't have a confirmed yardage line or target total for Hockenson this week, so we're not going to dress up a number that isn't there. His touchdown price is the piece we can actually stand behind.

We'd rather take the confirmed plus-money swing than force a yardage play that nobody's actually posted yet.

San Francisco 49ers vs. Denver Broncos

4:25 PM ET, CBS. 49ers -2.5, total 48.5 (DraftKings).

J.K. Dobbins (RB, DEN): under 59.5 rushing yards

Line via Covers' game preview. Book and price weren't independently confirmed this morning · last confirmed Fri/Sat

Dobbins has rushed for 36, 36 and 49 yards on a rising workload of 8, 10 and then 17 carries, and the extra touches last week still only bought him 49 yards. He's at 121 yards on 35 carries for the season, 3.5 yards a carry, with zero rushing touchdowns.

We believe the under survives unless his per-carry number changes fast, and three weeks of data say it hasn't yet.

Mike Evans, WR, San Francisco: watch, not a stand. Evans is questionable with a rib injury and Kyle Shanahan has called him a game-time decision; Friday's report didn't carry a later update we could confirm, and no market number or price for him turned up in our research this morning. Betting a sore, unconfirmed receiver with no posted number is three bad decisions stacked into one ticket, so he stays off the card.

Detroit Lions vs. Carolina Panthers

8:20 PM ET, NBC/Peacock. Lions -3.5, total 51.0 (DraftKings).

Jahmyr Gibbs (RB, DET): over 94.5 rushing yards

FanDuel -114 · last confirmed Fri/Sat

Gibbs has run for 156, 52 and 99 yards, clearing this number in Detroit's two wins and falling under it in their one loss, which tells you exactly what kind of game gets him there: a game Detroit is winning. He's at 307 rushing yards, 156 receiving yards and five total touchdowns through three games, the first player in NFL history to reach those marks that early in a season. Carolina has allowed running backs a league-worst 144.7 yards a game at 5.86 yards a carry.

We believe this is the cleanest over on the entire card. Fading it because 94.5 looks big is exactly how bettors talk themselves out of the good stuff.

Amon-Ra St. Brown (WR, DET): over 75.5 receiving yards

FanDuel -114 · last confirmed Fri/Sat

St. Brown's log reads 67, 142 and 19 yards on 23 catches and five touchdowns across three games; the 19-yard game came against the Jets on four catches, and we don't have an injury or snap-count reason attached to it, so that one stays an unexplained dip rather than a manufactured excuse. Carolina is also missing both of its top two cornerbacks, Jaycee Horn and Mike Jackson, who are each now on injured reserve.

Even though Carolina plays zone on roughly 80 percent of its defensive snaps and has allowed the fewest fantasy points to wide receivers this season, we believe a defense down both starting corners against a five-touchdown receiver is not the matchup those season numbers suggest. This one's the sweat of the card; Gibbs is the beer.

The read

The rushing props carry the strongest evidence tonight. Gibbs has cleared his number in every game Detroit has won, and Carolina's defense is the most generous the league has against the run. Henry averages just over 100 yards a game into a Titans front that ranks 24th, though the books disagree with each other by ten-plus yards on his number, so shop it. Barkley gets a Rams front missing Aaron Donald, even though the Rams as a unit haven't allowed a 100-yard rusher all year, which is the honest tension in that pick, not a reason to skip it. Cook belongs in that same tier: his workload has climbed every single week, and New England's run defense is one of the league's worst regardless of what his own three-game average says.

The receiver plays split into two groups. Wilson is a clean volume bet on a player already getting the targets. Nacua and Collins are the group's honest question marks: both are real talents returning from two missed games, both get this prop built off a single game log, and both deserve a practice-report check before kickoff more than they deserve blind faith. Shop Nacua across books the way the two lines above show you can, because one book is quietly offering a better number and a better price for the identical outcome. Lamb and Watson are touchdown bets on players getting enough red-zone work that plus money is still fair. Addison and Hockenson are role bets built entirely on Jefferson's absence, which is the single biggest injury storyline changing any passing game on the board, and we'd rather take the confirmed touchdown prices there than force a yardage number that nobody's posted.

St. Brown is the one honest disagreement on the card. The matchup profile says Carolina is brutal on the ground and stingy through the air, and we're betting both directions anyway because Carolina is also down its top two cornerbacks against a receiver who's scored five times in three weeks. If you only want the clean read, take Gibbs and leave it there.

Cut, and why

  • Colts at Commanders, London. Kicked off at 9:30 AM ET, hours before this published. No props on a game already underway.
  • Christian McCaffrey, RB, San Francisco (anytime touchdown). The angle showed up in our research, but no specific book or current price could be confirmed this morning. Cut rather than guess a number.
  • Deebo Samuel, WR, San Francisco (anytime touchdown). Described in our research as "playable" around a 40 percent implied probability, but again, no named book or price. Cut.
  • Dallas Goedert, TE, Philadelphia. He's on the Rams-Eagles injury report with a knee issue, but his exact Friday designation (questionable vs. doubtful) wasn't independently confirmed in our research. Held out rather than guessed.
  • Mike Evans, WR, San Francisco. Covered above as a watch item, not a stand: real injury, no posted number.
  • Zay Flowers, WR, Baltimore (under 68.5 receiving yards). Our first-draft take leaned on his questionable hamstring tag, but better reporting says Ian Rapoport has him playing, and he already played through this same injury last week for 5 catches and 84 yards. That real number argues against the under we had, and we don't have a confirmed book or price for an over to flip to. Cut rather than publish a take the latest data contradicts.

Every line on this card is last confirmed Friday or Saturday. No Sunday-morning recheck was available before our publish deadline, and final inactives for the 1 PM games weren't out yet either. Recheck both before you bet anything here.
