Week 9 CFB Props (Saturday)

Noah Fifita has paid three straight at 250.5. Who else belongs on Saturday’s card?

308, 341, and 284 are doing the talking for Noah Fifita. His 250.5 passing line sits below all three, while Byrum Brown’s 197.5 passing line sits above recent totals of 160, 150, and 159. Trinidad Chambliss brings the other clean under, with 250, 241, and 213 against 280.5. That’s one over and two unders, because forcing every game into a fireworks show is how you wind up apologizing to the group chat after last call.

Aidan Chiles has stayed above 209.5 in three straight, Reece Vander Zee has posted 69 receiving yards twice against a 38.5 line, and L.J. Phillips Jr. hasn’t reached 49.5 in any of his last three. Those are the plays we believe have the clearest recent support. Every price below was checked Friday, though the research packet didn’t record a time.

*Quick reality check: these are public-market reads, not betting advice or a guarantee.

Afternoon window

Arizona at Texas Tech

12:00 PM ET, ESPN. Spread not supplied; total not supplied.

Noah Fifita (QB, Arizona): over 250.5 passing yards

FanDuel over -114 - checked Friday, time not recorded

Fifita comes in off 308 passing yards against Iowa State, after 341 at West Virginia and 284 against Cincinnati. Every one of those totals clears 250.5, so the current line asks for less than anything he produced across that stretch. FanDuel prices either side at -114, which leaves no discount for arguing with the game log.

We believe the over owns the cleanest recent case on the board, which is usually when somebody gets cute and steps on his own dick.

Will Hammond (QB, Texas Tech): over 203.5 passing yards

FanDuel over -114 - checked Friday, time not recorded

Hammond threw for 227 yards at Cincinnati and 232 against Arizona State, clearing 203.5 in both games. His earlier trip to Colorado ended at 134, so the recent record has a floor problem sitting beneath two useful results. FanDuel again hangs -114 on either side, offering no price reason to forgive that 134.

We expect the over, but this one belongs below Fifita because Hammond has already shown us the trapdoor.

Wisconsin at Iowa

12:00 PM ET, FOX. Spread not supplied; total not supplied.

Colton Joseph (QB, Wisconsin): under 143.5 passing yards

FanDuel under -114 - checked Friday, time not recorded

Joseph’s last three passing totals are 58 against USC, 66 at UCLA, and 145 against Michigan State. The first two finish well under 143.5, while the third gets over by the thinnest recent margin on his log. FanDuel prices the over and under alike at -114, so the market isn’t charging extra for the side supported twice.

We believe the under is the cleaner read, though 145 is sitting there like a barstool with one loose leg.

L.J. Phillips Jr. (RB, Iowa): under 49.5 rushing yards

FanDuel under -114 - checked Friday, time not recorded

Phillips has rushed for 25 yards at Minnesota, 42 at Washington, and 16 against Ohio State. None reaches 49.5, and even the best result in that run remains below the posted line. Both sides cost -114 at FanDuel, which makes this a straight fight between the number and three consecutive misses.

We’d rather trust what Phillips has done than buy a sudden jump because Saturday morning made somebody horny for an over.

Reece Vander Zee (WR, Iowa): over 38.5 receiving yards

FanDuel over -114 - checked Friday, time not recorded

Vander Zee posted 69 receiving yards at Minnesota and another 69 at Washington before those games, giving the over two emphatic results. His earlier 35 against Ohio State missed 38.5, but only that game sits below the current number. FanDuel prices both sides at -114, and the duplicated 69s supply more support than the lone miss.

We believe the over belongs near the top of this game, which is admittedly a sentence capable of getting you thrown out of a respectable Iowa supper club.

Auburn at Ole Miss

12:45 PM ET, SEC Network. Spread not supplied; total not supplied.

Byrum Brown (QB, Auburn): under 197.5 passing yards

FanDuel under -114 - checked Friday, time not recorded

Brown has thrown for 160 yards against LSU, 150 at Georgia, and 159 at Tennessee. All three stay below 197.5, with remarkably little movement across the sequence. FanDuel hangs -114 on both sides, so the under gets a three-game pattern without making you pay a larger price for it.

We believe the passing under is one of the card’s sturdier plays, as long as nobody confuses boredom with a flaw.

Byrum Brown (QB, Auburn): over 64.5 rushing yards

FanDuel over -114 - checked Friday, time not recorded

Brown’s rushing log tells a different story: 107 yards at Tennessee, 115 at Georgia, and then 21 against LSU. Two of those results clear 64.5 comfortably, while the latest falls far beneath it. The packet doesn’t explain what caused the drop to 21, so assigning it to health, scheme, or game flow would be made-up bullshit.

We still lean over, but that unexplained 21 keeps it out of the preferred pile.

Trinidad Chambliss (QB, Ole Miss): under 280.5 passing yards

FanDuel under -114 - checked Friday, time not recorded

Chambliss has thrown for 250 yards at Texas, 241 against Missouri, and 213 at Vanderbilt. Each result stays under 280.5, and the sequence moves farther from the line rather than closer to it. FanDuel offers -114 on either side, leaving the under backed by all three recent results at the same price.

We believe the line is set for a day Chambliss hasn’t shown lately, which makes the under a hell of a lot easier to defend.

Florida at Georgia

3:30 PM ET, ABC. Spread not supplied; total not supplied.

Gunner Stockton (QB, Georgia): over 249.5 passing yards

DraftKings -108 - checked Friday, time not recorded

Stockton threw for 272 yards against Auburn and 295 against Vanderbilt, both above 249.5. The game between them ended at 249 against Alabama, a miss by the smallest possible half-yard at this line. Two solid overs and one near miss give the recent log a cleaner shape than the usual coin-flip mess.

We believe the over is live, and anybody sweating that half-yard can blame the sportsbook instead of punching a decorative pumpkin.

Talyn Taylor (WR, Georgia): over 43.5 receiving yards

FanDuel -114 - checked Friday, time not recorded

Taylor’s last three receiving totals are 64 against Auburn, 43 at Alabama, and seven against Vanderbilt. Only the 64 clears 43.5, though the 43 misses by half a yard and keeps the line from looking ridiculous. The seven remains the result that matters most for risk, and the packet offers no cause that would let us dismiss it.

We lean over because the last two results moved the right way, but this is a belief play, not a receipt-covered layup.

Jadan Baugh (RB, Florida): over 77.5 rushing yards

FanDuel -114 - checked Friday, time not recorded

Baugh rushed for 91 yards at Texas after producing 59 against South Carolina and 13 at Missouri. The latest clears 77.5, while the two earlier games miss by wide enough margins to demand respect. His progression points upward across the supplied games, though the packet doesn’t provide matchup evidence beyond the opponent and current market.

We can see the over case, but one recent payment doesn’t earn the right to strut around the bar without pants.

Northwestern at Oregon

3:30 PM ET, Peacock. Spread not supplied; total not supplied.

Dylan Raiola (QB, Oregon): over 229.5 passing yards

DraftKings +100 - checked Friday, time not recorded

Raiola’s recent passing totals are 43 against UCLA, 59 against Nebraska, and 246 at Illinois. Only the 246 clears 229.5, and it arrived after two games that didn’t come close to the current line. The packet doesn’t explain the jump from 59 to 246, so there’s no factual basis for calling the latest result a permanent change.

The +100 price is pleasant, but free cologne doesn’t make the stranger offering it in a parking lot trustworthy.

Aidan Chiles (QB, Northwestern): over 209.5 passing yards

DraftKings -103 - checked Friday, time not recorded

Chiles threw for 272 yards against Ball State, 226 at Michigan State, and 219 against Rutgers. All three clear 209.5, including the lowest total in the run. DraftKings lists the over at -103, pairing a plus-side recent record with a lighter price than several less convincing plays on this card.

We believe the over belongs beside Fifita among the best plays, with no need to invent some galaxy-brain reason to hate it.

Griffin Wilde (WR, Northwestern): over 79.5 receiving yards

FanDuel -114 - checked Friday, time not recorded

Wilde has receiving totals of 144 against Ball State, 57 at Michigan State, and 133 against Rutgers. Two results clear 79.5 with room, while the 57 provides the obvious warning against treating his production as automatic. The packet doesn’t explain that middle dip, so the numbers have to stand without a convenient story stapled onto them.

We expect the over, because two big payments beat pretending the 57 never happened.

Minnesota at Indiana

3:30 PM ET, CBS. Spread not supplied; total not supplied.

Charlie Becker (WR, Indiana): over 5.5 receptions

DraftKings -106 - checked Friday, time not recorded

Becker caught three passes at Michigan, nine against Ohio State, and three at Nebraska. The nine clears the six-plus requirement, but both three-catch games fall well short of it. DraftKings prices the over at -106, which softens the cost without changing the fact that only one recent result has paid.

We’d need another reason to love the over, and the packet doesn’t hand us one no matter how seductively the price wiggles.

Turbo Richard (RB, Indiana): over 0.5 total touchdowns

DraftKings -150 - checked Friday, time not recorded

Richard scored no touchdowns at Michigan, one against Ohio State, and none at Nebraska. The anytime-touchdown over paid once across those three games, while the other two produced nothing. DraftKings charges -150, the heaviest listed price on this card, for an outcome the recent log has delivered only once.

Turbo is a magnificent name, but names don’t cross the goal line and they sure as hell shouldn’t cost -150 by themselves.

Utah at Cincinnati

3:45 PM ET, ESPN. Spread not supplied; total not supplied.

Devon Dampier (QB, Utah): over 222.5 passing yards

FanDuel over -114 - checked Friday, time not recorded

Dampier threw for 238 yards against Kansas and 278 at Colorado before finishing with 204 against Houston. The first two clear 222.5, while the latest drops below it. FanDuel prices either side at -114, and the three-game record gives the over a majority without pretending the most recent miss is decorative.

We believe the over can recover, though 204 is close enough to keep our beer on the table instead of raised in celebration.

Wayshawn Parker (RB, Utah): over 89.5 rushing yards

FanDuel over -114 - checked Friday, time not recorded

Parker rushed for 171 yards against Kansas, 98 at Colorado, and 47 against Houston. Two of those results clear 89.5, while the latest lands far below the line. The packet doesn’t explain the fall from 98 to 47, so there’s no support for blaming usage, health, or anything else a bored bettor might pull from his ass.

We still lean over on the strength of 171 and 98, but the 47 makes this a conversation instead of a declaration.

Cole Tabb (RB, Cincinnati): over 57.5 rushing yards

FanDuel over -112 - checked Friday, time not recorded

Tabb opened the supplied run with 19 rushing yards at Arizona, then jumped to 118 at West Virginia and 173 against Texas Tech. Both recent results clear 57.5, while the 19 sits far outside that new range. The packet doesn’t identify what changed after Arizona, so the surge is visible even if its cause isn’t.

We believe the over is supported, but anyone claiming to know why the switch flipped is talking out of his helmet.

Night window

Ohio State at USC

7:30 PM ET, NBC. Spread not supplied; total not supplied.

Jayden Maiava (QB, USC): over 257.5 passing yards

Caliente.mx over -118 - checked Friday, time not recorded

Maiava threw for 245 yards against Washington, 301 at Penn State, and 258 at Wisconsin. The last two clear 257.5, with the 258 sneaking over by half a yard. Caliente.mx prices the over at -118 and the under at -120, so the recent majority also carries the slightly cheaper side.

We believe the over has enough support, though that 258 crossed the line with its ass hanging out.

Jeremiah Smith (WR, Ohio State): under 96.5 receiving yards

Caliente.mx under -118 - checked Friday, time not recorded

Smith’s last three receiving totals are 206 at Iowa, 93 against Maryland, and 68 at Indiana. The 206 blows through 96.5, but the next two finish below it and move downward. The packet offers no explanation for the gap between 206 and the later results, so the outlier can’t be waved away or treated as the expected baseline.

We believe the under fits the recent direction, even though 206 sits in the corner holding a baseball bat.

Bo Jackson (RB, Ohio State): under 91.5 rushing yards

Caliente.mx under -120 - checked Friday, time not recorded

Jackson rushed for 70 yards at Iowa, 107 against Maryland, and 56 at Indiana. The 70 and 56 stay under 91.5, while the 107 supplies the lone over. Caliente.mx asks -120 for the under and -118 for the over, making the better-supported recent side marginally more expensive.

We’d still take the under as the read, but paying extra always feels like the bartender charged us for the glass.

Miami at North Carolina

7:30 PM ET, ABC. Spread not supplied; total not supplied.

Jordan Shipp (WR, North Carolina): over 6.5 receptions

Caesars +121 - checked Friday, time not recorded

Shipp caught eight passes against Syracuse, seven at Duke, and six at Pittsburgh. The two most recent games clear 6.5, while the earlier six misses by one reception. Caesars offers +121 on the over, giving the recent two-game run a plus price rather than asking bettors to swallow juice.

We believe this is the best receptions play in the game, and the price doesn’t arrive wearing a ski mask.

Jelani Thurman (TE, North Carolina): over 4.5 receptions

Fanatics +100 - checked Friday, time not recorded

Thurman recorded seven receptions against Syracuse, four at Duke, and six at Pittsburgh. The seven and six clear 4.5, with the four providing the only miss. Fanatics prices the over at +100, so the line has paid twice in the supplied games without carrying a negative price.

We expect the over more than we fear the four, which is about as civilized as this card gets.

Cooper Barkate (WR, Miami): over 3.5 receptions

bet365 +110 - checked Friday, time not recorded

Barkate caught three passes against Pittsburgh, two against Florida State, and five at Clemson. Only the five clears 3.5, while the two more recent games stay below it. Bet365 offers +110, but the plus price doesn’t erase a recent record with one payment in three tries.

We’d leave this below Shipp and Thurman, because getting paid extra to make a shakier decision is still making a shakier decision.

The read

Fifita over 250.5, Chiles over 209.5, Brown under 197.5 passing yards, Chambliss under 280.5, and Phillips under 49.5 rushing yards form the strongest cluster. Each side is supported by all three supplied results, which gives us a cleaner case than relying on one spike or explaining away a miss.

Vander Zee over 38.5, Shipp over 6.5 receptions, and Thurman over 4.5 receptions sit directly behind them. Each paid in two of the last three, and the current prices don’t demand an unsupported story about what will change Saturday.

The split decisions deserve more restraint. Brown’s passing under and rushing over can both make sense because the logs point in different directions, but the unexplained 21 rushing yards matters. Raiola’s 246 followed 43 and 59, while Tabb’s 118 and 173 followed 19. The packet shows those turns without explaining them. Any stronger claim would be somebody pouring certainty into an empty bottle.

Cut, and why

Jadan Baugh, Dylan Raiola, Charlie Becker, Turbo Richard, and Cooper Barkate didn’t make the preferred group. Each over paid only once across the supplied three-game sample, and the packet provides no added matchup evidence that would justify promoting it. They remain on the full card because every posted prop was required, but none belongs in the handful we’d defend after the bartender starts stacking chairs.

Talyn Taylor also stays outside the preferred tier. His 64 cleared 43.5 and his 43 missed by half a yard, but the seven against Vanderbilt keeps the range too wide for a strong call. No additional player can be named as a cut because the research packet supplied the players above and no others.
